This term we will be exploring ’The Three Little Pigs’ by Giuseppe Di Lernia. We will be making dens and writing instructions!

In English we will be focusing on developing our vocabulary to describe what we can see, hear and feel through drama. To help us expand our vocabulary, we will create our own dens out of various materials to build a house. We will also familiarise ourselves with a quality model text to help us write a set of instructions based on our text.

In Maths we will be looking at the composition of numbers, how to break numbers apart and put them together as a group. We will be looking at differences in weight, length and capacity, as well as comparing units of time.

In Science, we will be researching different types of every day materials we might find in our local
environment. We will be using adjectives to describe what they feel like and what they can be used for. We
will be exploring the important properties of everyday materials such as their shape, texture, colour and
flexibility.

This term in Geography we will be learning about the local area. We will explore maps, atlases and look at the UK and its four countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

This term in RE This term children will be looking at Christianity. The children will learn about who Jesus is and look at different stories from the Bible, including the Christmas story.

In P.E. we will be developing our locomotor skills, gross motor skills as well as fine motor skills. We will learn and continue to develop teamwork skills by taking part in team challenges and using apparatus.
