In English we will use Stone Age Boy to inspire our own stories about travelling through a magical portal. Children will explore settings through drama and learn how to describe places and actions using carefully chosen words. They will plan, write and edit their stories before rehearsing and performing a
short Stone Age play.

In Maths we will strengthen our understanding of hundreds, tens and ones and explore different ways to make 100. Children will use number bonds and doubles to add and subtract, including calculations that cross 10 or 100.

In Science we will compare rocks and investigate which properties made them useful for Stone Age
tools. Children will discover how fossils form and explore what soil contains.

In History this term we will investigate how life changed through the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron
Age. Using evidence from places such as Skara Brae and Must Farm, children will explore how homes and tools developed.

In Music we will explore Anna Meredith's Connect It and discover how body percussion can create
different sounds. Children will practise keeping a beat in three, perform patterns together and create and record their own
short rhythms.

This term in Spanish, we will practise greeting people, saying goodbye, introducing ourselves and asking
how someone is feeling in Spanish. Children will listen and respond to simple classroom instructions and begin learning words for places around school.
