Our new topic for Summer 2 is ‘Star Gazers’ where children’s learning will be focused around Space, continuing their learning from previous years. They will be learning about how the planets in the solar system move, why we have night and day and will be describing the movement of our moon.

In English, children will be writing a persuasive text which will be aimed at encouraging customers to come to their space-themed hotel!

In Geography, children will be learning about the Greenwich Meridian which will develop their knowledge of longitude and latitude lines.

In DT, children will be developing their understanding of materials and joining materials together. They will also be using their sewing skills they developed in Autumn 2 by creating their own space-themed stuffed toy.

In Personal Development, children will be recapping what they have learnt about puberty and personal hygiene. They will also be learning about sexual intercourse and conception.
